Contents of an Illustration

Extra characters 
Extra characters in a piece is double the base price of your commission.

Content 
I will not illustrate content that is a higher rating than PG-13. This includes (but not limited to):
  • Erotic art/pornography
  • Explicit violence & gore
  • Art that promotes violence/hatred towards a group
  • Depictions of illegal drug use/alcohol abuse
  • Gray areas such as fetish art, suggestive pin-ups, etc
However, I am free to deny illustrating any commission for any reason. 

Miscellaneous Extra Content
Content including (but not limited to):
  • Complex props
  • Basic backgrounds
    (Note: complex backgrounds fall under making the entire piece a "Full Illustration")
  • Complex costumes/designs
...are subject to an extra charge that will be determined upon making the quote. 

Pricing & Payment

Payment
Payments will be done using Paypal or Square invoice. Paypal as well as major credit cards (through Paypal or Square invoice) are acceptable as payment. 

Misc. Pricing
For anything that cannot be easily priced, I will charge an hourly rate of $65/hr.

Advanced Payment
For most projects, I will require payments in advance, prior to starting. If the project is a long-term project (lasting multiple months, such as a comic or storybook illustration project), payment is made upon completion of pages. 
(Note: long-term projects will require a signed contract.)

Misc. Details

Corrections
Reasonable corrections through the process of illustrating are complementary. However, if they become excessive, especially if they're of no fault of my own, they will be subject to extra charge.

Deadlines
If no deadline is given upon payment, I will do my best to have it completed in a timely manner. However, real life often gets in the way, which may delay your commission. If you want to ensure that your commission is done at a certain time, please give me a deadline. If the deadline is in short notice or during a time where my schedule is very full, it is subject to an extra charge. 

Refunds
Generally speaking, I do not give refunds. The only time I will offer a refund is if a deadline, that you (the client) and I explicitly agreed upon, was missed. Sometimes, if I find I can no longer take on a project for any reason, I will offer a refund.

Reproduction of Work
By default, you do not have any permission reproduce the work I give you without any written consent. This includes (but is not limited to): 
  • Making prints for the purpose of selling (personal prints to give to friends/family is fine)
  • Selling digital copies of the high-resolution final product
Any personal use of the final product (use as a personal wallpaper, avatar, printing prints for personal use, etc) are all allowed.  If you do wish to commission me for the purpose of selling art, there may be extra charges*!

*Except with comic work.

Shipping
For traditional art, I will ship with USPS in a timely manner. This means you will get your art within a week or two of completion if you live in the contiguous US or two to six weeks worldwide. I am not responsible if artwork gets lost or damaged in the mail, but I'll do what I can to make things right.
