...and it's time to maybe update this website, as its overall look is half a decade old, but today is not the day. That's for one of my workdays, and in one of these posts I'll detail how I deal with working from home.
Why do I want to start writing a blog? It's really part of a never ending journey of mine to live my best (professional) life. To spare you the details of that journey, I'll just point to the fact that I have been more and more irritated with social media.
Social media certainly has its place in networking and marketing, but it feels "noisy". Posts are constantly buried by algorithms and other nonsense. It's no secret that social media by-and-large has had a negative effect on mental health, not to mention the precious minutes it steals. I could go on, but I want to get back to why I'm starting a blog.
I'm starting it because I like the intimacy and purposefulness of it. Yes, there is a social aspect to a blog for sure, but you can't really retweet, reblog, or share it on your own feed. It's much harder to share. One has to put effort into coming to a blog, and all you'll see is content from me without the usual social media noise.
What will you expect to see on this blog? Anything and everything that has to do with my job, my interest in art and storytelling, and how all that intermixes with my own life--along with any updates of my webcomic Suihira and new pieces of art. If all that interests you, give this page a bookmark and come back to check every now and then, or use the RSS feed!
